The Agilent 5185-5823 is a pack of 100 blue screw caps (12 mm) made of polypropylene that include bonded PTFE/silicone bi-layer septa, intended for use with 2 mL wide-opening vials. Agilent describes these bonded caps as a widely used design for 2 mL vials and suitable for GC and LC workflows, particularly HPLC applications where samples are less volatile or snap/crimp vials are not appropriate. The caps use a bonding procedure to adhere the septum to the cap for an improved seal and are compatible with a range of instrument brands and wide-opening 2 mL glass and polypropylene vials.
