The Agilent Captiva Econofltr (part number 5190-5266) is a 13 mm syringe filter with a PTFE membrane and 0.45 µm pore size supplied in packs of 1000. It is intended to clarify small-volume samples before HPLC, LC/MS and other analytical techniques by removing particulates that can foul columns and detectors. The hydrophobic PTFE membrane and polypropylene housing provide broad chemical compatibility with many solvents, acids and bases, and units are supplied with HPLC/LC/MS certificates indicating low observed extractables.
