The Agilent J&W HP-5ms is a fused-silica capillary GC column with a (5%-phenyl)-methylpolysiloxane (HP-5ms) stationary phase optimized for GC/MS. In the 20 m × 0.18 mm × 0.18 µm narrow-bore, thin-film format it provides high-efficiency separations and improved signal-to-noise for mass spectrometry analyses where low bleed and spectral integrity are important. The column is supplied in the common 7-inch cage format and is compatible with Agilent 5890/6890/7820/7890/8860/8890 series GC systems and other instruments with similarly sized ovens.
