Magnetic stir bars or star type stirrers provide uniform and thorough mixing of samples in cuvettes. They are designed specifically for use with standard rectangular cells in cell holders that have magnetic stirring capability. The stir bars are recommended for the stirring module and Peltier thermostatted (1 x 1) cell holder, and the star stirrer is recommended for Peltier thermostatted multicell holders for Cary UV-Vis systems.
