The Agilent VGA hydride absorption cell is a T-shaped, open-ended quartz absorption cell used with the Agilent VGA 76 / VGA 77 vapor generation accessory for hydride generation determinations. It is used when determining hydride-forming elements and, as part of the VGA 77 system, enables rapid trace-level determinations of mercury and other hydride-forming elements at parts-per-billion (µg/L) concentrations using the vapor or hydride generation technique. The cell’s small internal volume provides more uniform heating and more efficient atomization.
