DURAN® Evaporating Flask, 250 mL with a 24/40 standard ground joint, is a pear-shaped borosilicate glass flask designed for evaporation and concentration of solvents. The florentine/pear shape provides a large uniform liquid surface area for more rapid evaporation, and the standard ground joint enables a tight connection to rotary evaporators and other ground-glass apparatus. Typical applications include solvent evaporation, use with rotary evaporators, heating in baths or mantles, and concentration of solutions.
