BAX System Real-Time Vibrio Kit provides a real-time PCR assay for detection of Vibrio species (V. cholerae, V. parahaemolyticus, and V. vulnificus) in food samples. The AOAC-certified assay delivers reliable results for concentrations as low as 10^4 CFU/mL after enrichment and is intended for presence/absence testing or MPN calculations in seafood matrices such as tuna, shrimp, scallops, and oysters. The test completes in approximately 70 minutes and is supplied as a 96-reaction kit (KIT2010).
