The foodproof Beer Screening 2 LyoKit is a ready-to-use real-time PCR assay for detection of beer spoilage bacteria in beer, enrichment broth, and pitching yeast samples. The kit simultaneously detects Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, Pectinatus and Megasphaera species and the hop-tolerance genes horA and horC, and is supplied with UNG to prevent carry-over contamination. The kit format and reagents are designed for routine quality control and microbial screening in brewery production and testing laboratories.
