The foodproof Clostridium botulinum Detection LyoKit is a lyophilized, low-profile real-time PCR kit for reliable detection of botulinum neurotoxin-producing Clostridium strains (including C. botulinum, C. baratii and C. butyricum) in enrichment cultures from food samples. The assay specifically detects neurotoxin types A, B, E and F using 5' Nuclease real-time PCR chemistry, includes an integrated Internal Control and UNG contamination prevention, and is designed for use in food safety testing laboratories to detect and differentiate toxin types via melting curve analysis.
