The foodproof E. coli O157 Detection Kit is a real-time PCR assay for detection of Escherichia coli serogroup O157 in food and environmental samples. The kit targets a highly conserved sequence within the O-antigen gene cluster and is AOAC-validated for use in quality control laboratories testing matrices such as egg salad, apple juice and meat products. The kit is provided with hybridization probes configured for LightCycler 1.x and 2.0 instruments and is intended to deliver clear positive/negative results following standard enrichment protocols for food safety testing.
